How Do I Use Copper?

Copper comes in many forms, creams, lotions, and serums. I am often asked when do I use copper, how, and in what form. Your skin care professional should be the one to advise you according to your skins type and condition. Copper can be combined with AHA's for instance. Some copper products have retinol in them, such as CP Night Eyes. Copper can also be added to your present skin care regimen as a daily treatment, without changing the products you already use. If you have sensitive skin, always test any new product on the neck before using on the entire face.

With the Microbuff System copper is used in the following way:

• Remove eye makeup and clean face as usual at night

• Put 3-5 drops on wet hands, rub together and apply to entire face and neck, including eye area. Product smoothes on better if skin is damp.

• AHA, lactic acid, marine fade lotion, or Exfol serum may be applied at this time, if used.

• Apply Satin A Night Cream. Satin Oil may be applied on top of night cream to seal in moisture. If skin is very dry, Emu Oil S may be used for extra benefits.

• If skin is not sensitive to retinol, CP Night Eyes may be added to the night routine if desired. Start by applying sparingly around eyes every 3^rd night and increasing gradually to every night if no irritation occurs. For any redness, discontinue for 3 days and restart more slowly.

• When using copper at night, the face should be washed thoroughly the next morning before Vitamin C is applied under makeup.

Copper cream is also available for the face that contains retinol or salicylic acid. These products are for very damaged skin. Your skin care professional can advise you as to what is best for YOUR skin.
